In the News - Medicare Announces Insurers to Offer Part D Drug Plans

Although specific Medicare Part D plan information is not yet available, we now know which insurance companies will be offering plans to Medicare beneficiaries. There will be 9 companies offering national plans, in addition to the numerous companies offering local and regional plans. These companies can begin marketing their plans on October 1, and details about the benefit structure and formularies will be available October 13.
