Employers Offer Health Insurance Discounts to Employees Who Adopt Healthy Habits

At some companies, employees who adopt healthy habits can earn discount credits to lower health insurance premiums. For example, Xerox employees who don't smoke or who enroll in smoking cessation programs earn a $200 discount on their health insurance premiums. Other companies take the opposite approach and penalize employees who smoke by adding an additional premium surcharge.
