Trends: Physicians Charging "Uncovered Service" Fees

According to this article in the Washington Post, an increasing number of doctors are charging annual "uncovered service" fees to their patients. These fees are designed to cover costs for services that health insurance plans typically do not reimburse doctors for, such as "referrals, preauthorizations, filling out forms, photocopying, and no shows."
