Projected 10-Year Cost of Medicare Part D Drops

Medicare has recently announced that the projected 10-year cost of its Part D prescription drug benefit will actually be lower than anticipated. However, numerous legislators and state officials have publicly expressed disbelief over this cost projection. Some states are even planning to sue Medicare over a dispute over how much the states will be expected to contribute to this cost.
