Medicare Part D Overwhelms Social Security Administration

The Social Security Administration has been working overtime handling problems and concerns about the new Medicare Part D drug benefit. According to this article in the L.A. Times, program officials are saying that the volume of work is so overwhelming that they are falling behind on the day-to-day business of running the Social Security program.
