Better Business Bureau Seniors To Beware of Part D Scams
Tuesday February 21, 2006
Better Business Bureaus across the country are receiving reports that seniors are receiving phone calls from crooks masquerading as Part D drug plan providers or government officials, trying to get seniors to reveal confidential financial information that can be used for identity theft. Remember, legitimate providers and government officials will never require you to give your personal information over the phone - they should be happy to send you printed materials via U.S. Mail that you can review and investigate at your leisure.
