According to this article in the Chicago Tribune, the introduction and promotion of Health Savings Accounts may signal the end of job-based health coverage in the future. Employers are becoming more and more disenchanted with the rising cost of providing health care for their employees, and are likely to begin steering their workers towards HSAs for coverage.
