Some Part D Plans Fail To Notify Enrollees of Changes

Thursday December 28, 2006
Government officials report that some Part D plans failed to send enrollees the required “Annual Notice of Change” documents describing how costs and benefits of their plan will change for 2007. As a result, the government will extend the open enrollment period for those beneficiaries who did not receive the notice, or who received it late. According to the New York Times, this primarily affects enrollees with plans sponsored by UnitedHealth Group.
