Although veterans receive written upon discharge from the military, not all eligible individuals take advantage of their benefits. The Senate is considering legislation that would fund Veterans Affairs outreach efforts. In the meantime, all veterans are encouraged to contact their local VA office to find out more about their benefits eligibility.
