Employers More Likely to Raise Out-of-Pocket Costs Than Premiums

A recent study conducted by Hewitt Associates show that employers seeking to cut health costs are more likely to increase employee deductibles and copays than they are to raise monthly premiums. According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, employees often base their plan choices on premium amounts and may not notice the higher out-of-pocket costs until it is too late.
