Question: What does COBRA cover?
Answer:

COBRA coverage is a continuation of your employer's health insurance plan. Therefore, the benefits available under COBRA are the same as the benefits you had as a covered employee or dependent immediately before becoming eligible for COBRA.

People who have COBRA coverage must be offered the same plan options available to current employees and their dependents. For more information, see the Department of Labor's FAQs About COBRA Continuation Health Coverage.
