Bush Signs Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 Into Law

Earlier this week, Bush signed the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 into law. This Act cuts funding from several important programs, including Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. Bush says that even with these budget cuts in place, spending levels on these programs are unsustainable, and future cuts will be necessary.
