Obesity Linked to Higher Health Costs, Lower Productivity

According to this study, obesity is the #1 factor in increased employee health costs and loss of worker productivity. The study shows that health care costs for obese employees are 77% higher than those for employees of healthy weight. Also 6.9% of obese employees have some kind of work limitation, while only 3% of healthy weight employees are limited in the work they can do.
