Uninsured Children Often Have Insured Parents

A new study in the Journal of the American Medical Association shows that many uninsured children have parents who have access to health coverage through their jobs. Reuters reports that although these children technically have access to health insurance through their parents' coverage, the cost of adding them to the plan is unaffordable. This shows that covering children will be more complicated than just making sure their parents are covered.
